Foreign nationals coming into Britain help British society to become more open to other ideas. This enriches our culture and supports our gymnophobic British people however and where ever these British are with their physiological problems. It’s a shame that we did not pay more attention to Islamic people with their face coverings for helping against things like COVID-19 but also (should) protect their married women from unwanted or unwarranted attention. Alcohol was banned due to the types of behaviour similar to a Friday or Saturday night out for a lot of British people by Islam hundreds of years ago. I think there is much to learn from these cultures and religious differences.
The Japanese have known that it is courteous to wear a face-covering when they have cold or flu-like symptoms for a long time, to stop the spread of disease. The British encouraged not wearing face covers for I don’t know how long? Until now. Even member states of our nations commonwealth are more open to new thinking than the British are. The Austrians don’t mind being in swim costumes, they have hot weather but I’m not sure that it makes a difference. I wonder if this gymnophobic attitude affects Russia, they have regions near China that are hot and regions further west that are cold. Their art would suggest they aren’t gymnophobic.
Not all English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish behave the same way. For example, not all English people drink alcohol, or drink excessively, even though there is a lager lout projection of us and to some extent that is true. The same goes for other cultures and people, not all people act the same way. Everyone has different experiences of other cultures. My own have been positive with other cultures but negative of my own county’s attitudes that seem to change with the wind. The British have a very fashion-based ideology whereby it is just the order of the day. Every ten years or so they focus on the destruction of another industry. Not too long ago it was the banking industry they choose to break who knows whom they will pick on next?
There’s, in theory, a push on science and technology. For such a difficult group of individuals, I’m surprised any science can progress here at all. British promote a set of values but are not really seen except the dispassionate and robotic behavioural patterns that they strive on. Don’t worry though the English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish, Common Wealth, Foreign nationals and other countries like America, Russia, the European Union, and further afield (aka the world) do their best to hold the British on the straight and narrow.
